Where Expert Bookkeeping Meets Local Charm

Meet the dedicated expert who brings clarity and care to every ledger.

Rachael Hinton

Founder & Lead Bookkeeper

Rachael entered the world of bookkeeping after working in the medical field for 15 years. While Athletic Training has been incredibly gratifying and rewarding, Rachael decided to bring her love for service and organization into a new space—supporting local small businesses through reliable, stress-free bookkeeping. Since the financial side of running a business can feel overwhelming, Rachael has made it her goal to make it easier, clearer, and more manageable. She thrives on organization, building genuine relationships through trust and active listening, and helping others turn their business dreams into reality like magic! Rachael says, “Bookkeeping has allowed me to continue to bring positivity and kindness to the world by helping small businesses grow our community, all while spoiling my puppy!” She resides in Seattle with her sister, Jenna, and mini aussiedoodle, Merlin.

Merlin

Executive Director of Joy and Wellbeing

Merlin is a 2 year old mini Aussiedoodle. He loves blueberries, playing chase, and meeting all his friends (humans and dogs alike!) at the local businesses along his walks. He takes his role at Merlin’s Magical Bookkeeping very seriously; he will do whatever it takes to bring a smile to your face, whether it’s taking photo ops or performing tricks, as long as you have treats!

Adam Hinton

Director of Visual Identity and Design

Adam graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Communications – Electronic Media. By day (and often late into the night), he works in radio juggling everything from audio production to social media management. When he’s not making airwaves sound their best, Adam is crafting the perfect sketch, which is why Merlin’s Magical Bookkeeping enlisted his artistic side to bring a mix of technical skill and creative flair to bookkeeping! Adam currently resides in Michigan but loves to visit his “dog-phew” whenever he can.
